Author's Bio

Clive Gifford is an award-winning writer for children, whose first book was published at the age of 17. He has written over 80 non-fiction books, including The Kingfisher Geography Encyclopedia, and The Kingfisher Book of Living Worlds. He has received commendations from the Poetry Book Society and the US Smithsonian Museum and is the winner of an educational Supplement Information Book of the Year Award and a UK Royal Society Young People's Book Prize for Eyebenders (QED)
