Description of this Book
One of six New Zealand health and physical education titles that encourage children to understand their peers, friends and family members who have particular health needs: Asthma; Deafness; Vision impairment and the need for glasses; Diabetes; Epilepsy; Cerebral Palsy. Each title focuses on a particular health issue, providing a high-interest and informative way for children to learn how their peers cope with particular health needs on a daily basis, how they like to be treated by others, how others can help, and the role of caregivers, parents and teachers. Told from a child's perspective, the series is presented in a vibrant and interesting photographic format and aims to create awareness that most people with particular health needs can achieve what they want to.
