Author's Bio
Melinda Szymanik is the author of the picture book Clever Moo as well as The Were-Nana, which won the New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards Children's Choice Award in 2009. Melinda has written three novels: last year's striking A Winter's Day in 1939, Jack the Viking (Scholastic, 2008) and The Half Life of Ryan Davis (Pear Jam, 2011). Melinda lives in Auckland. Dominique Ford is an artist and illustrator living in rural Tauranga with her husband Andrew and teenage children. Dominique started out in graphic design before travelling overseas and working in England for four years, producing graphics and promotional material in the music industry. After returning home and having a family, she and her friend Megan Kelliher wrote and illustrated her first picture book, Moonrabbit, together. As well as drawing, Dominique knits, crochets, sews, makes jewellery and collects cats.
