Brenda Lewis is an American decent who lived in Japan until she was 17. She has travelled and lived in several countries in Asia for 9 years. When her family migrated back to the US, she began to relive Asian culture by creating nostalgic Asian dishes. She developed an interest in culinary arts, took a few courses and established her own restaurant, which is still successfully running for almost 20 years now. Her areas of expertise include cooking Japanese and Chinese cuisines. Lewis is currently exploring several European cuisines to add to her knowledge. She has recently travelled to Cairo, Italy, and to other European countries. Her vision includes putting up another restaurant which would then cater to foreign nationalities. She aims to share her knowledge about other cultures she grew up with and travelled to. She holds special cooking classes every summer break to teach kids how to work their way through the kitchen. She aims to help these kids maximize their summer break through continuous learning and to introduce a new hobby to them as well. She has a talented son and a business-minded husband, Thomas. In her spare time, she practices yoga.
