The SOS to Encode! Program provides a much-needed resource in the Elementary classroom. The SOS to Encode! Series presents a skills based approach to improve student phonics skills, decoding, encoding, syllable segmentation, syllable blending, sentence editing, capitalization, an...d many other skills. This program allows for three levels of instructional intensity and duration. This allows the teacher, parent, or tutor to customize instruction for each class, group, or student. Based on placement test recommendations, students follow one of three plans: -Plan A: The full program (7-8 weeks) which allows two days for each lesson. The first lesson is guided while the second lesson gradually releases responsibility to the student. -Plan B: The full phonics review (3-4 weeks) spends a single day on each lesson and employs gradual release of responsibility within the lesson.-Place C: The sentence mechanics review (2-3 weeks) focuses on specific lessons with the number of words in dictated sentences increasing. Following the completion of the program, students are assessed again to determine if they move to the next part in the series or need to repeat one of the plans for Part 2. The customization, formative assessments, and multisensory approach allow students to master needed encoding skills quickly in order to move on to higher-level literacy skills. SOS to Encode! uses the Simultaneous Oral Spelling (SOS) strategy along with multisensory phonics and encoding techniques, developmentally scaffolded lessons, instructional framework (scope and sequence) and a consistent lesson structure. By the end of SOS to Encode! Part 2 students will be able to: -Encode, decode, and spell one-, two-, and three-syllable words that include closed syllables, short vowels, consonant digraphs, (-ch, -sh, -th), initial and final consonant blends, and double consonants (ff, ll, zz, ss), -Check writing for correct sentence mechanics, -Self-monitor writing during the writing process, and-Recogni

The Blessing of Brokenness was born out of tragedy. This book describes the raw emotions individuals face during a broken season. You will be encouraged to rely on faith while standing in the face of dark reality. A stern realization in brokenness is that you will either become a... slave to circumstance or you will conquer the test set before you. Victory is accomplished by allowing God to reveal answers to broken questions in His way and His time. Broken does not mean failure and it does not require abandonment. We seek to find purpose in brokenness. If God allows brokenness to occur there is a purpose. God will not allow a test to come that's beyond your ability and doesn't lead you to His destiny. The purpose of permitted brokenness is to reveal His destiny. Understanding this shifts your vision to see past the fog of reality to the heart of God. Every dark night ends with the dawn of a morning. Each day with Christ comes with a new banner despite your test. My best is yet to come.

This is Volume 4 and the Orange Bundle of the Breaking the Big Words Syllabication Activity Series. This bundle contains three activity sets of Breaking the Big Words. This activity series provides scaffolded, research-based instruction on dividing syllables, identifying syllable... types, and generalizing the skills to decode words and sentences. Perfect for small groups, differentiation, and intervention! The Activity Sets focus specifically on one or two syllable patterns and types. This, the Fourth Volume and Orange Bundle, introduces the V/V syllable pattern with each syllable type. Each activity set introduces a new syllable type and includes all previously taught types.Anchor words are used as a visual support on each activity sheet to remind students of strategies and the placement of each label. To ensure skill generalization to basic reading, on the same activity sheet, students break words (slash between syllables) BEFORE reading a word list then break WHILE reading sentences. Sight words are controlled in the series and consist primarily of PrePrimer and Primer Dolch words. Each Activity Set of Breaking the Big Words employs three levels of scaffolding, embedded differentiation, a strong visual component, developmentally appropriate activities, and an instructional framework (Scope and Sequence).
