New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh takes us into the hearts of two fractured people in a world on the brink of a psychic Armageddon... Silence has fallen. The Psy are free to feel emotion. Free to love. But Silence was never a prison for Ivan Mercant. The biggest t...hreat to his future lies dormant in his brain-a psychic monster that wants only to feed. And now, the brutal leash he's kept on that monster is slipping. He prepared for this day, for the end of Ivan Mercant... but that was before he met Lei. As primal as she is human, this wild changeling brings color into his life, laughter to his soul. Then the dream shatters in a rain of blood, in silent bodies in the snow. Lei is gone. Vanished without a trace... until he meets strangely familiar eyes across a busy San Francisco street. Soleil Bijoux Garcia is a healer who has lost everything. She exists in a world of desolate aloneness... till the day she finds herself face-to-face with a lethal stranger. The animal who is her other half knows this man, but her memories are tattered fragments. Sorrow and a need for vengeance are all that drive her. Her mission? To kill the alpha of the DarkRiver leopard pack. But fate has other plans. Soon, a deadly soldier who believes himself a monster and a broken healer might be all that stand between life and death for the entire Psy race...

This is the heart-warming tale of Pelorus Jack, a rare white Risso's dolphin who delighted passengers over 100 years ago as he guided steamships through the rough waters of French Pass into the calm waters of the Marlborough Sounds. Passengers from around the world, even royalty,... came to see him and it is believed he became the first sea creature to be protected by law in any country. This is the third in a series of true animal stories that bring history to life for young readers. Companion titles are Friday the Rebel Dog and Mrs Chippy the Cat.

This is Kaz's story from humble beginnings. Strapped for cash with two babies at home in 1997, she decided to make Christmas cakes out of her home kitchen to sell at the local markets. Twenty-two years later, knowing it was time to let go of her baby she sold the highly successfu...l and sought-after cereal and snack brand, Puredelish. This is not a 'how to' book, but an honest account of her journey. It is Kaz's story from the heart of how she navigated through the madness of growing a seed of an idea on her own with no money into a well-recognised and trusted, brand. The Cereal Entrepreneur is a book about courage, grit, determination and never giving up on your dream, even when others say it's not possible. This is about a woman and her dreams for her family, her love for her people and the deep love for her brand. It's about defying the odds, following your passion and always trusting your gut. And when the going gets tough, roll your sleeves up and get on with the show.

How To Get Your House Ready For Sale In 30 Days

How To Get Your House Ready For Sale In 30 Days (Trade Paperback / Paperback)

Real Estate Expert Norah Deay knows what it takes to get the best price possible from a house. Working with 'Million Dollar Marnie' in New Zealand provided an insight into what helps sell a home quickly and, more often than not, for that dream price. It doesn't matter if the mark...et is hot or cold, the more you can take out of your present home the more you have to put into the next one. I've moved more times than I can remember but the two times I moved while living in New Zealand were the most stressful. We had lived in the first house for over ten years which was the longest I'd ever lived anywhere, plus the outside areas were in a dreadful state, so having to get a house ready for sale in three weeks was a huge task. We'd found a house we wanted to buy but had to sell ours first. The second time was more stressful, even traumatic. My husband and I had parted, and I had to get the house ready for sale. I wanted to get back to Ireland by Christmas (it was October) so there was a mad dash to get everything done. The only way I could do it was systematically and that led to the birth of this book. If you've got a big job to do, you need a plan. Getting your house ready for sale is a big job, and this book is your plan. This guide will take you step-by-step through your home over 30 days and you will end up with a house any buyer will desire. More importantly, a house that's sparkling, tidy and in great condition is always going to achieve a better monetary outcome than its tired and dull neighbour. The money you spend will be recouped in the sale price but unless you have some serious issues with your roof, electrical wiring or your foundations are falling in, this plan is not going to cost much money at all. The only thing you will need in abundance is elbow grease (i.e. strenuous physical exertion). So, block out 30(ish) days in your calendar because you're going to be entirely focused on getting your old house ready to become someone's new house.
